And they have been working with the Shinju since their creation. This could happen and then the Shinju would take over Madara's body and the Zetsu would have known all along and were just stringing Madara along just as he strung Obito along. Would be interesting if Madara was also being used...

Obito is dead next chapter. My guess is he will attempt to take the staff, Madara will look up in a 'Yeah I don't think so.' kinda way and Obito will be destroyed. I'm guessing this chapter is designed to redeem Obito by showing his return to the 'good side' and will then be killed accordingly...

Plot no Jutsu or nothing. Everybody and everything should be dead by now. The only way I see even a hint of a possibility of the alliance winning is if Naruto becomes a more powerful sage which is pushing the limits that I find acceptable in this manga.
