Kabutomaru - kabuto or orochimaru?

Alright so we know that Kabuto implanted Orochimaru's cells into his body and as a result a transformation of the latter's body begun where Orochimaru's cells began taking over Kabuto's body.

Now, forgive me if this has been touched on in the Manga and I've missed it, but has it been established yet if Kabuto succeeded in preventing the cells from completely taking over him or not? Could Orochimaru possibly resurface from Kabuto if the latters chakra was diminished? (similar to what happened to Sasuke during Sasuke vs. Itachi) Or could Orochimaru actually be sharing Kabuto's body and even be talking to him similar to how Kurama talks to Naruto?

This is still possible. I think Kabuto was so devoted to Orochimaru that they have planned Oro's return together. And maybe the current body of Kabuto's is being shared with Lord Orochimaru.
I just think that if Orochimaru doesn't come back, the story will be too predictable.

I hope we see more from Orochimaru in the future, it would be a waste of an excellent villian if he was to only to be seen in flashbacks from here on in.

^ I agree with the above. I believe Orochimaru will return through Kabuto as it is possible Orochimaru and Kabuto planned this before his death as Black Eternal Sea has said. Kabuto does appear to be a loyal servant to Orochimaru Sama so I can see this happening. Maybe Orochimaru is slowly becoming in control of Kabuto or he might already be one with Kabuto, it's an interesting thought. I think and really hope that Kishi isn't finshed with Orochimaru. In my opinion, he was the best villain in Naruto.

Personally, I rather see Orochimaru "saved" by Naruto. It's what J-Man wanted to do, but failed. It's what Naruto wants for Sasuke and he will succeed. If Orochimaru's destiny is to be "saved", Naruto is the only way. Dammit, didn't mean to thread jack, but Naruto's greatest power isn't BM, SM, etc..it's his freaking "will power" and I think that's why so many of us Sasuke fanboys...
