When Madara dropped in his eyes were a Sharingan and Rinnegan just like Obito's were,that's the second time that happened.The first being Madara showing off the Rinnegan way earlier than he was supposed to when first revived.

I mean think about it,so many characters died without seeing what they envisioned come to fruition.Hashirama died before he could unite the Shinobi world and it fell apart afterwards,Jiraiya died before seeing his pupil become the Child of Prophecy,Itachi died wanting Sasuke to become a hero and...
