Itachi used an ability on someone as per this post. And then the phase ended. We need to see the outcome to make a more grounded speculation about what this ability is about.

I think Ansa is speculating that Itachi ended the phase early in order to lock a mislynch. To me it seems like an ability was performed on someone so I'm not 100% sure of what is going to be the outcome.
