Yeah, that makes even more sense. I guess it also relates to the fact that his lover wouldn't even gain any spotlight in flashbacks or the main story, since it could have been just someone random.

Makes sense in a way I guess, but I don't really know if he would be the type to just pick a random fan girl from his fan base and make him his lover. Maybe we'll get an Itachi Hiden sometime soon? :D I always thought of it being someone who didn't think of Itachi to just be someone really...
