Interesting but we believe what we wanna believe. The bad thing about it is it doesn't stop the circumstance but just serves as a reminder. Meaning that if we had seen it before it served no real purpose but after whatever circumstance happened it serves more of a symbolic meaning.

For me it would be Naruto (duh :P) or Shiakamaru. Naruto has been through a lot and has accomplished so much from when he started out in Episode 1. Shikamaru has really shined for me since the Chuunin exams. He is someone I wish I could be in terms of leadership skills and strategy.
