Restrictions should be removed on everything. Radical idea i know, but not being able to make the character you want in your head because of arbitrary restrictions placed years ago from people that are no longer in the game should be gone. The player base is less than 10 people. What are we protecting from being abused by having a population of less than a classroom?

I dunno if I will participate till changes are made, so I guess you can take all this with a grain of salt but realistically even with new mods and sensei each time, nothing has changed. I still advocated for a complete wipe to fix the broken system.

Irregardless if it's 10, 5 or less etc of us, rules are still rules. Even in DnD campaigns, while a level of freedom is allowed to a more larger scale, the DM still has to maintain certain guidelines and rules in order to retain the game in a certain capacity. So, even if we are what remains of this society, we will be keeping things maintained to a degree. While the conversation of loosing up a bit is currently in the talks, we will not be completely removing restrictions.

Theres a difference between rules, which can stay in place, and removing restrictions.
To use D&D which youve chosen, allowing a player to create a character that fits within the universe that might not fit is called 'Homebrew' which can be allowed, without compromising the rules of the game itself. It still uses the same rolls, same mechanics and same choices. However having a rigid DM that says 'no this is explicitly not allowed because of the rules' despite being the person who can change or bend the rules, just prefers rules over fun.

I asked LoK about this on Discord already but may I please be permitted to submit Katsuryoku Clan update? I just dont want to have to keep bothering Gobi about getting on and submitting every single cycle. And since him and I both worked together on the update I don't see any harm in allowing it. I'm litrerally not doing anything he didn't already approve of or edit in himself.

Hey guys again :shy:

I have a lot of free time. Tried making a rp thread to get my ol' noggin working again. Next I will have to tackle the thing that has haunted me since my early days - the fighting portion of the RP. I am great with being creative and all but I overthink everything and trying to battle someone who just wants to interact....I get overwhelmed.

I just wish someone would humor me a battle to test out how to battle. Like I know the jutsu in theory but putting those jutsu into writing/action....I wanna die because I feel like Ill never get it.

I am like Naruto, the perpetual Genin T_T

Hey all, just a reminder, posting your customs in the official submission thread leaves the impression that they are ready to be checked. We will be doing so at any point in time, even if the cycle is still open, so if they aren't ready to be checked- don't post them ok? Thank you in advance.

In other news, while we are tidying up some loose ends on moderation side- I'll seen be looking to push forward the narratives in the Ninja World. One thing I'd like to remind everyone about too, with how Zaphkiel had set things up, Id like people to understand that the while arcs are going to have their own main plot points you all can interact with, we are heavily encouraging you all to start making your own stories/storylines as well, as we will at points in time, be reacting and helping paint the narratives with you all as NPCs and other fun interactions.

Feel free to explore, as we once we have finalized things- the first Rift of the New Horizons will be dropping. Those currently in Sagas and other NPC interactions atm, your plots will continue as intended.

I want to engage in a battle where I can battle someone (regardless of what is in their kit) that won't kill me (evade mostly) but allow me to work out the kinks of battling like figuring out combos/strategies and chiming in when you see a way I can simplify something when it looks like I am doing too much or too little. If the intensity/skill level improves you can increase your aggression accordingly of course.

I am only a Genin but I need to start learning how to battle to the point I can do it in my sleep. I got time...(breakup) and wanted to put my time into things that remind me of good feelings which includes NB. I think I got most things down a bit but its the battling that has always crippled me.

Enough that even the Pervy Sage himself could not motivate me enough and that guy is God. xD

So I want to honor my Sensei by coming back and mastering this enough to start having fun. >_>

I just have a hard time committing to something because of the amount of effort required, ya know?
