If he wants to delete the past of the nine-tails showing up he should just erase obito. Hes the one that brought the 9 tails out. Killing naruto won't do anything because Obito was going to bring out the kyuubi anyway, unless somehow sasuke prevents naruto from being born and the seal not weaken

I think in the end of the series, after he has been accepted by the village again, he is gonna try to destroy everything and kill everyone from the inside. I feel like its gonna be balls to the wall bloodshed until the final fight with Naruto. At least that's what I'm hoping for.
