I've never heard about the white Zetsu clone theory....hmmmmm interesting.

Based on the trailer below (not the new 1 that was just released) this could be when the Pain's/Konan are resurrected with Edo Tensei (during the current war) and before he uses the 9 nine tails chakra he tries to fight them off with sage mode before going to his kyubi chakra.... Just a thought...
