Why are there so many Itachi vs Minato threads?

How did this trend start? What's so compelling about that matchup?

I never see Itachi or Minato vs someone else.
Like Minato vs Raikage or Itachi vs Bee or whatever.

And I've noticed that Minato fanboys are Itachi haters and alot of Itachi fanboys are Minato haters.

Around February 2012, Minato was said to have better genjtusu usage than itachi, shisui and sasuke.

The thread hit hottest for days. Itachi had 12 votes, minato had 17. Thats something i'll never forget.
