The Sannin are extremely underrated

We haven't seen anything from Hanzo and nothing of Oro, Jiraya and Tsunade back in these days.

They are Sannin i don´t think they are top 10, but they are close.That being said Itachi can´t 1 shot any of them.Itachi was super powerful but so are the Sannin, so the only one who in my opinion wouldnt give Itachi a run for his money is Tsunade.Oro and Jiraiya would give him a much better fight (especially Jiraiya).

I'll tell you, their teamwork TOGETHER was extraordinary; there was brains, brute & the greatest healer of all. So your answer is no. Thank you ! They are definitely underrated . Jiraiya of course doesnt earn enough credit for this battle with Nagato , aaaaaaaand easily defeating Konan ( who gave Obito a good run for his money ) , Orochimaru ... well , i don't know much about him but yeah Edo Tensei haha . Tsunade , is the strongest Physically in the Naruto Universe and has put her life on the line 3 time's and was even bisected and still LIVED ! The Sannin are by faaaaaar the BEST team in Naruto .

The only sannin that is underrated is orochimaru.

People forget that his hype for being a genius isn't revealed by anything. When it comes to hype, the hype hiruzen gave him isn't rivalled by anybody else in the manga though, that hype is confined to hiruzen students

People do not even know that he is the greatest ninutsu developer and canonically speaking the only person who rivals him when it comes to ninjutsu development is sasori because he has also created a lot techniques.

People say his weakness is genjutsu which is obviously nonsense. Orochimaru has a 5 for genjutsu. To get a perfect score for a category that means he not only knows that field in detail he is also a genjutsu user. Looking into itachi's eyes is something that will cost 99% of shinobi's in naruto a fight. That doesn't make oro's weakness genjutsu.

Peopl say he got fodderized twice by itachi. Again the relationship is guided by the legends of susano and amata no Orochi. Itachi being susano and oro being the yamata no Orochi. It just so happens that, oro has been given the wrong end of the stick.

Canonically speaking he is the only sannin who has yet to fight with his full strength. We have seen sm jiraiya and Tsunade with her Byakugo. Oro is currently the last sannin standing and i believe he will show his true powers before he gets put down for good

Well, in the manga we've seen Tsunade with the other Kage fighting Madara, and actually holding off against him rather well. However, in terms of power compared to lots of other characters, such as Naruto and Sasuke and Madara.... yeah, she's not particularly comparable. Jiraiya... I like him, but he was beaten by Pain, when he was at his maximum. Naruto basically fought Pain at near his maximum and won. And since lots of ninja are now stronger than Naruto was then (Obito, Madara, Sasuke, ect), Jiraiya has been left behind in terms of power. The only one left who's really worth mentioning is Orochimaru.
