I believe that Kabuto would have eventually used the other talisman and completely control Madara. The reason he used the special talisman was that he wanted to see him in action. And so in comes Itachi and ****s Kabuto in the ass, thus weakening the contract completely enabling Madara to break free.
Madara knew the seals to break free, but he could not break free unless the jutsu is release, I dont think.
1.Killed off his clan? well Itachi didn't have choice in this one.....it was either save his brother and Konoha or either let his Clan destroy and kill everyone in Konoha.

3.stopped edo tensei so Madara could break free? this is a big no....Kabuto gave Madara free for his powers and body so Madara could broken free from the Edo Tensei without Itachi stopping the Edo Tensei and besides Itachi saved the world by stopping Muu,Deidara, and many powerful Edo Tensei Shinobis that could have killed the Shinobi Alliance.
Killing his own loving parents is the most dithering thing. If his clan had been abusive to him and his parents had raped him and were tormenting him and were going to torment his little brother, I'd get it. But no, it was nothing more then a political disagreement that got him tourist his own parents.
I get he was blackmailed, but how do you choose a government that wants to oppress people over your own treasure of a family? I canno. Forgive Itachi for talking to Naruto like a brother then treating Sasuke, the one who suffered by your own force, like a pest?
Yes, I agree with you and I have not the faintest idea on how he genius ever expected his plan to work with the way he treated Sasuke after the murders.
The Uchiha clan were going to be wiped out anyway, they didn't want to listen to reason and were sticking to their plans of overthowing Konoha, that would have resulted in casualties on both sides, however Konoha are much more powerful and have a number of allies that would have helped so like it or not eventually the Uchiha would have been slaughtered, Itachi realised this and decided that the clan couldn't be reasoned with and would perish either way, that's why he is a hero in Konoha, because he put his needs aside to save the future generation of the Hidden Leaf.

You know it's funny because Itachi had resigned to the fact that he'd ****ed up with Sasuke, so he entrusted him to Naruto - who just so happens to be one of Minato's successes lol.
But really, Itachi did a huge amount of good deeds - it's just that many of his fans can't admit to his obvious flaws, like failing with Sasuke and believing he could do everything himself (which he admitted to). The man was no God.

Exactly Madara knew the seals not only that but Kabuto said himself there is no weakness meaning he did not know someone could break free until Itachi did, however it doesnt mean that he could have expected that anyone could use the seals to break the jutsu. It simply was and unknown, unknown.
I find it funny how itachi himself admits that he failed miserably but his fans continue to say he didn't lol. Like wtf? But they say we minato fans are the worst?
Nowhere did Itachi say he failed the entire village, just Sasuke and the clan. The fact that there was no war and Naruto and is his friends grew up in peace (kinda) means Itachi indeed succeeded. Think about this, if Itachi had not planted that fail safe crow inside Naruto , he would've still been under Kabuto's control so Naruto and Bee would've had to fight Nagato and Itachi and we all know that Naruto and Bee would've gotten fodderized and captured.
Minato fans are just butthurt that a 13 year old kid did more for the village than the shortest reigning Hokage ever.. he was only Hokage for like 5 minutes lol

Danzo, hiruzen etc would have done it if he didn't..

Itachi did fail, but not because of any of the reasons you listed... as stated many times before... his actions still stopped an internal war which would have led to a world ninja war.. with konoha having to fight two wars at once.. they would surely be destroyed.. know what that means?
Itachi would never have made a deal with tobi saying konoha was off limits.. meaning nagato etc could just take konoha while naruto was still like 5
Itachi did fail to do most of the things he aspired to do. especially evolving Sasuke. That does not make him a failure.
Naruto did fail (so far) at bringing Sasuke back to the village, he got many other things done but he failed at this part. It's kind of the same thing.
