That phrase...... was also something of a warning to myself.....as there were many comrades....that I failed to protect.

That mantra is something I try to live by.....but it doesn't change the harsh realities for those I couldn't protect before you....

Uttering those words, means shouldering that burden for the rest of your life..."


Probably one of the best things I've ever heard Kakashi say. Certainly exposes the naked truth behind his motto.

There will always be times when you can't protect them all, but just saying those words will place a burden on you, constantly reminding you, about the ones you couldnt save. Living with that burden is the same as keeping those lost comrades close to you.

Yes that was one of Kakashi's best moment.Very inspiring speech and I like the contradiction Kishi is making between Kakashi and Obito.Kakashi's words show that he made his pain into a possitive thing that made him a better person in contradiction with Obito who saw pain as a curse and let him ruin his life.

That was an excellent bit of writing right there. I loved how Kakashi finally got a chance to tie back into all the foreshadows he made back in part one. Now it's just a matter of seeing if Naruto has anyone actually close to him and not a rival turned fodder like Neji die.

I love Neji but even though he had his moment with Naruto in part 1, I feel he (in regards to his relationship with Naruto) wasn't important enough for it to be tragic. Hmmm... I guess it's the way he told Naruto that Hinata was willing to die for him. He knew from part 1 how she felt and I just felt like he was trying to make Naruto see her love, even though she already confessed it earlier. If it was meant to be a tragic death of a friend, it shouldn't have involved Hinata and been solely about his feelings toward Naruto, or simply Neji's love for Hinata that overcame his duty. Instead it was like he was trying to play matchmaker in death. That's just how I see it I guess. lol
