It's all about what kind of map you use. Different maps skew land mass size/positions in different ways.

Papua New Guinea is meant to be directly above the pointy thing (can't remember what it is called) on the top of australia

What I am meaning is that I am so so sure Australia was never this close to PNG.

now all of a sudden every map I look at the northern tip is so close.

I distinctly remember it being in the same position as the second picture, with more ocean around it and much further away from PNG

You it's the earths rotational spin that cause the world to move and as satellites display a graphic image of the world, the world is slowly sliding diagonal causing the sun to shine higher in the map the world so in about 100,000,000,000 the Antarctic will be damn smacked in the middle of the world ,hahahah nah I don't know anything I'm just a sheep following thy Shepard lord Jesus Christ nah jokes about that too I'm actually a real sheep.
