question about the sharringan

if the sharingan can copy ANY jutsu except kg then if the opponent uses a water jutsu and sasuke try's to copy will it work b/c sasuke doesnt have water as an element if yes then that is a contradiction in the manga
this also proves kakashi has atleast 4 elements

Actually wait no, Kakashi said he couldn't copy FRS... so the answer to your question is no, Sharingan cannot copy all non KG techniques. Or they can copy them, but whether they can actually use the jutsu or not depends on the user's general skill.. I doubt elemental alignments could stop a true master of techniques from using any justu.

Kakashi view on the sharringan is not a great example for the true power of the sharrinagan, he can use the sharrinagan but he does not have the KG when Kakashi got his sharringan it was truned on and already had its powers, kakashi does not have the chackra to fully control it, that's why he covers it

Im gonna have to say that you have to be able to use the element to use the jutsu's from that element.
kakashi just cant use wind element but can use all other elements however his main element is lighting and can use all jutsu of that element.
he cannot use jutsu of the other elements that we would consider class S

i think most people are braindead when it comes to the sharingan you cant just copy jutsu with it.... have you ever seen itachi or sasuke copy jutsu? hell no!!!! kakashi can do it because he is a genius he uses the sharingan to follow handseals as all sharingan user can but kakashi can also mimick the person and since the sharingan can see chakra as colors and whatnot kakashi knows how much chakra to exert in order to activate the jutsu... he also has a vast knowlege of jutsu and how they work so copying a jutsus seals and using a specific type of jutsu just by watching someone is his skill its something unique to KAKASHI not unique to the SHARINGAN... honestly i dont think people read the manga...

Erm...Kakashi has the mangekyou, to say his sharingan is limited since the transplant is a tad silly considering he has activated the sharingans "true power" is quite a feat if hes a 2nd rate sharingan user.
In fact hes the first non uchiha to recieve mangekyou, and the 4th overall (madara and his brother, then itachi, then kakashi, then sasuke)

It has been stated by sasuke and itachi that kakashi can use his sharingan as good as an uchiha-but he gets worn out easily because he does not have an uchiha body.

Uchihas have high chakra capacities, sasuke as a genin had 2 chidori shots, kakashi said he only had 3, and he was an elite jounin and a ex ANBU member.

The reason kakashi cannot copy FRS is because it requires either

a)a brain that can look left and right at the same time, in other words a bigger genius even than kakashi or shikamaru
b)shadow clones all putting chakra into the jutsu

Kakashi has nowhere near the chakra supply naruto has, if kakashi ever did manage FRS it would use 90%+ of his chakra capacity, FRS is an amazingly powerful jutsu that only naruto is capable of.

Sharingan can copy anything as long as it ISNT

a)a KG
b)An element they dont have (surely the kakuzu arc showed clearly no ninja can use 5 elements, and kakashi MANGA wise only has 3, water, earth and electricity, fire was added in the anime, which is not the true story)
c)beyond the users chakra control, this is my point about byakagun with hinata vs sakura.

The sharingan can see the chakra control, but as lee said, if you cant keep up, theres no use in seeing it.

Seeing it and using it are two different things, and if you cant keep up, who cares?

I think the part that Kakashi fails is mostly the chakra reserves. Even though Sasuke might be able to see how the jitsu is created, I doubt that he will be able to do it himself. And that is the difference between Kakashi and Sasuke, Otherwize Sasuke would have been able to copy the rasengan way earlier in the manga, and perfected that jitsu.

yes...kakashi copied several water jutsus but dont forget one thing: he can do water teqniques when he is IN the water(remember zabuza arc) or water is nearby(remember kakuzu hidan arc).he makes hand seals and controles water with it.
so sharingan can do various types of jutsus and types of chakra elements if this element is nereby.I hope you understand what I mean.
as for frs....this teqnique has no had seals that's why sharingan user cant copy it.
