Don't know about sacrifice or penitence, which are both more negative meanings. I just searched through several wiki's and they talk about the symbolic of rosemary in a more positive way, namely it's a sign of love, thrust and remembrance of someone who is close to you that died. Very easy to apply all of those on the current situation in different ways.probably yes. I believe the blade itself has some great drawback attached to it. Rosemary is a name linked to many folklore, mainly christian, normally linked to self sacrifice or penitence. The name may not mean anything but I do believe its related to the blade or the name of it.
You just said it yourself. You do penitence when you did something bad, meaning you can't really call that something positive as it's tied to the crime that was committed. Self sacrifice can't be called something good either. I'm not saying they are bad or evil, just that both of them have not a very positive attitude, especially compared to it being a symbol of love for both the living as precious people that died.Penitence and self sacrifice is not something negative unless the translation is betraying me.
Rosemary in portuguese translates to Rosa Maria, a personal name also given to Rosário which translates back into Rosary. Rosary is the longest prayer in the catholic faith or one of the longest. Its often the highest penitence or highest self induced sacrifice you do to atone to your sins. If we assume its the herb then dunno. But when i read Rosemary I associated the personal name.
Kagura has a sin which is vengeance. Her self sacrifice or self penitence is the damage and backfire that sword will do to her and the price she has to pay to wield it which in turn is something that will only happen to enable her to take revenge.
I know i may be seeing it a bit too far (i normally do lol) but Rosemary in my culture is normally associated with something you do with sacrifice or with...dificulty to atone for something bad you did or will do. A...trade. A promess. A...dunno... Its hard to explain.
Knowing Hiro I can hardly imagine it's going to be something really deep.Perhaps I'm just reading into it a bit more than it actually is. Lol
And you're right... in a sense, its not a positive or good thing...its a bad thing. a negative one indeed.
thats what i thought too. Somehow theres a price to pay for using that blade which i why her own friends ddnt want her to use it and she has never used it up until this point. (If she did draw it out)probably yes. I believe the blade itself has some great drawback attached to it. Rosemary is a name linked to many folklore, mainly christian, normally linked to self sacrifice or penitence. The name may not mean anything but I do believe its related to the blade or the name of it.
right? thats the first thing that comes to mine. perhaps the next chapter will be about it.Indeed. When i saw the title i was thinking of what could be the meaning behind it..
I searched there too. found the same results although the roses are red and signify blood and Mary is Maria. Even bloody Mary pops into my head. But hey thats a stretchDon't know about sacrifice or penitence, which are both more negative meanings. I just searched through several wiki's and they talk about the symbolic of rosemary in a more positive way, namely it's a sign of love, thrust and remembrance of someone who is close to you that died. I'm not really a plant expert, but I don't find anything about it having such a negative meaning.
