Minato is Vastly Over-rated

First off let me start by saying that Minato is without a doubt a powerful shinobi but just not as powerful as many of you make him out to be

1. He's beat fodder ninja with the FTG

2. He beat a 15-16 year old Obito who clearly was not on the level he's on now being twice that age now

3. People keep saying he beat A...All I seen was him teleport away a couple of times...and besides what jutsu does minato have that can possibly get through a fully powered up ration Armor of the raikage

To me Minato is a faster and smarter version than base Naruto

Minato is 9th on my top ten list, 8th without rikudo sennin

1. He beat whole squads of fodder in a mere blink of an Eye, He was so feared that villages trained their shinobi's to run away if they ever saw him on the battle field.

2. The obito that minato beat, would stomp most Nv characters, Him being twice the age now wouldn't of changed much back then. It would just of made minato's victory that much greater.

3. Bee throught A was in enough danger to go through the trouble of saving him. If Bee knows the strength of A's armor, Why would he even bother stopping minato's attack in the first place.

1) you're acting like FTG wont have any effect on non fodders.
2) yes a 15-16 yrs old obito who almost destroyed the village with the kyubi and also he could control the kyubi by force. something that no one has probably done other than naruto and the sage.
3) who needs to pierce through an armor when you can seal your enemies away in stead?

I agree he is over-rated considering the fact we've only seen him battle a couple of times (2 right? Raikage and Obito).

yes he is over rated to a few... honestly a rasengan can be pretty monstrous :| ... rasengan scale and size can vary ... people tend to forget this ... imo i still think we didnt even see minato at his best and because of this people imagination can tend to get out of hand... its the same for hiruzen ...

also we dont know the ninja's that minato beat were fodder... just because we dont see them doesnt mean they are fodder :|.... to me obito hasnt changed much and minato still beat him quite easily imo ... dont forget he had to concentrate on his wife, his son , the ninetails , the village and obito ....

also to get through the raikages raiton armor :|.... not much of a problem when u can just create a massive rasengan or just seal his opponent ... minato was a master of seals and we saw like 3/4 .... he deffinetly has a lot more than wat he has shown :|

i will disagree with wat u said about him being a faster and smater version of base naruto... he is in the top 5 shinobi imo

EDIT: give him a break just because he likes sasuke doesnt automatically make him a minato hater/sasuke fanboy or watever... he has actually acnowledge minato's strength ... but like every character they can get over rated just like sasuke can, just like hiruzen and naruto can ect...

^^Thank you for stating this. I love it when people (Hitmansasuke23) are too ignorant to actually understand the manga and comprehend everything. So they make a thread trying to sound smart ending up looking dumb over the internet.

1.what did Kimimaro tell naruto it doesn't matter how many of you their are trash is still trash...in this case Fodder = fodder

2.do you honestly think Minato would hit Obito with that weak ass base rasegan now no way...Naruto in KM Mode with a much better rasegan couldn't best Obito

3. I'm just not seeing a regular rasegan penetrating through the raikages lighting armor...Sasuke chidori was able to penetrate it just because it was a piercing move that was also a lighting attack and it still caused the raikage no significant damage

When Obito "attacked" Konoha, he knew what were Minato's abilities, as Obito was his student.
Minato had no idea what was his opponent power.
