First, in a scene taken out of 300, Hiashi beats the crap out of Hanabi and is like "get up, stop being such a wimp." Then he basically disowns Hinata and says she sucks and doesn't care if she dies. You might say he repented, but no where do we see him apologizing to Hinata. We see he cares about Neji but never him caring about Hinata.
