Indeed. He can be in fact an Exceed. But he is most likely a unique character, made only to produce doubt and intrigue fans. What i do find curious about it all is that he is a host, meaning a presenter right? However, at moments, he looks like he's the boss of the games. He acts like he has control over the direction the games have but also control over unschedueled things. The only real surprise i saw was when Erza challenged all the monsters. Other than that he's acting like the man in charge and not a simple host for show. that is weird.

One thing that bugs me though now that we are talking about weird things... how did the princess open up the time gate if lucy and the other girl have their keys O_O ?

Or was it opened in the future and lucy from the future appeared here?

Well he's also the official referee of the Games.

When Lucy and Yukino got captured, their keys were taken and the princess used them to open the gate. Then Natsu & co took them back. Though all of that has happened off screen and has only been mentioned briefly. Typical Hiro

I detect a hint of possible Talk-no-mahou coming up, were erza seeks to atone for jellal's mistakes and prove her opponent wrong and get her to actually forgive jellal. Will she be able to do so? Hum...

Hiro knows how to keep the interest going though. Gajeel's fight is also very intruing to me. The interest shown towards gajeekl by his opponent...why? brothers? I bet some relationship exists and i'm betting on them being brothers.

Well luckily Hiro is the type of mangaka that never drags out fights. Probably the 'talk' will happen at the same time they are clashing. We probably can expect a flash back, but those are rarely very long or deep *remembers Sting's flash back* xd

True. Which is a good thing *remembers Kishimot's flashbacks...shivers*

I like his overal Feel. example: Jade Dragon encounter. Another writter might have made that serious and stuff but it was ubber funny yet serious. "You're talking to food AHAHAHAH" LMAO

But Erza's fights tend to be a bit dramatic but still simple so I don't expect that big of a fight. I do expect some drama though and serious clashes but not like ubber powers and stuff. More like a clean, one chapter brawl with a few speeches in between and a moral winner in the end.
