Why is it really that Sakura is such a disliked character?

You ever think she is the male version of Naruto? I love Sakura. She's one of my favorite characters. I think she's a strong female character that won't just lay over if a boy tells her to. My guess is there are some guys who have a problem with that.

Its no secret that Sakura is probably the most disliked character in the Naruto fan population. The most common reason Ive generally seen is that shes "useless" but I dont think thats true, her overall feats throughout the manga far outweigh any other character in the K11 bar Naruto.

I think the reason she is hated is simply her personality/character: shes whiny, temperamental, loud, impulsive and sentimental, i.e., she is the embodiment of the word b!tch (its like shes on her period 24/7 and this is especially true of the animes portrayal of her character).

-sighs- If your using her personality from the anime then you have her personality wrong. Because there's a difference between the manga and the anime. The manga has her real personality. In the anime Sakura punches people a lot more. And of course she whines a lot but she's not a crybaby. Honestly besides those two traits she's exactly like Naruto, loud, impulsive, and sentimental. But she is nothing at all like this in the manga, same as Naruto.

Sakura is hated because she gets some development in the chunnin exams, then looses it again. Then again, fighting Sasori, And she loses the development again.

Fun Fact, Kishi actualy stated that hinata would make a better heroine.

She indeed is annoying but hate is a wrong word.
I mean come on don't you think Hinata's Stuttering and shyness( actually painful) is annoying too.
Imagine if you have to deal with both the characters in real life. We could curse sakura and fight with her (verbally ofcourse and physically if need be) but someone like hinata who don't say anything wrong but keep stuttering and being shy around you, unable to utter a word properly..I think I would either go insane or start ignoring her (you can't say anything bad about her but she will get on your nerves i am damn sure).

Here i agreed with you $ d annoying part but showed my disagreement about hate part which is indirectly implied in the thread and by other people who posted.
