hinata, she has supper reflexes with byakugan, if sakura goes in close range she is hitting air, plus I have high expectations for lionfist, curious of what it does when it actually hits something, since sakura doesn't have moon walking skills like Pain.

Honestly, I don't see the two really getting into a serious fight these days.

Supposing we were to go back to a sort of Chunin exam scenario, things could go quite wonky. Naruto's support for Hinata during her fight with Neji helped her find the motivation and resolve to fight and give Neji a run for his money. In a Chunin exam scenario (presuming the same relative ages and character dispositions), it's very difficult to see Naruto abandoning his adoration of Sakura. At the same time - I could see him pulling some weird support for both parties and Hinata being shown to have a slight edge of jealousy motivating her to fight. ... Though she could also not 'have the heart' to defeat Naruto's object of affection.

Either way, the crux of the fight will largely come down to Hinata's willingness to commit and engage.

Sakura's specialties are Thor-Smash taijutsu combined with, supposedly, some genjutsu affinities. Effectively useless against a Hyuuga - much less a Main Branch Hyuuga. Sakura's strength, while formidable (even in her younger days), would be hard pressed to make contact with Hinata. Meanwhile - all of the deceptions and tactics Sakura would normally employ to overcome her agility deficit (compared to Hinata) would be difficult to employ against the Byakugan.

Hinata doesn't need to pokey-pokey the chakra points to be devastating with the Hyuuga's style. She just needs to pump chakra into your body in such a way as to fracture bones and turn your organs to pulp.

About the only way Sakura stands a chance is if she were to yank a tree out of the ground and go Super Smash Brothers with it. Or if Hinata simply refuses to commit to the fight.

It's just a bad match-up for Sakura.

Put Hinata up against someone like Tenten, and the picture changes a bit. Hinata is at a substantial range disadvantage and Tenten has trained with Neji and will be more adept at dealing with the Gentle Fist style.

Put Sakura up against another Thor-Smash character (such as Naruto) and the picture also changes (well... presuming the pre-sage-mode Naruto and that he doesn't go tailed fox). About the only thing open to Naruto is to flood the field with shadow-clones and hope she wears herself out (before coming up with a way to get rid of the shadow clones). Beyond that - it just comes down to who can really hit harder (which would probably go to Naruto, but it would be a much more entertaining fight than one between Hinata and Sakura... which is just a bad match-up).
