Sasuke wasn't taught extensively by Kakashi. He only trained Sasuke separately during the Chuunin exams, while Naruto was trained by Jiraiya and Sakura was left on her own.

It doesn't matter whether Kakashi was the student of Minato or not. Kakashi is in the first place a teacher and he taught his team well. I think you should go back reading the first part again because then you'll notice that it isn't until the Chuunin exams that Kakashi spent a bit more attention on Sasuke than he gave the others.

The rest of the time they all got equal attention. You seem bent on seeing Kakashi as the bad guy in this situation, while he isn't. Objectively seen, they all got equal attention until the Chuunin exams where Sasuke got taught by Kakashi for a while and Naruto received training of Jiraiya. It's not like Naruto didn't get any training at all.

And in Shippuden Naruto was extensively trained by Kakashi. Why? Because he wants Naruto to survive. If he really didn't care about Naruto like you seem to want to believe, then he wouldn't have rescued Naruto during the fight with Zabuza, he wouldn't have given Naruto special training so that he could get stronger in order to survive Akatsuki's attacks and Naruto wouldn't have improved under his training sessions.

You want fairness for the students? Well then complain about Sakura for not getting any special training. She is still his student and therefore should have received special training as well. Yet, she didn't while the other two definitely got special training sessions. You can't be on Kakashi's case for supposedly not treating Naruto fairly while willing to ignore Sakura's case. That isn't particularly fair of you now, is it?

It is like it is: both Sasuke and Naruto got their own training sessions, designed to fit their goals and elements with Kakashi. Yes, Kakashi saw traits of himself in Sasuke and not much in Naruto. And? He still taught both of them.

Thanks for keeping the thread kull, and continuing it,but u got something wrong because sakura was taught by tsunade when she got over her fangirlish attitude, then she wasn't fit for a shinobi, she was head over heels for him.but when sasuke left them, she took shinobi life serious.sakura never showed any seriousness in being a shinobi, she never showed any aspirations, whereby sasuke and naruto showed promise and seriousness even though naruto seemed hopeless.kakashi as their jonin sensei was expected to teach them something tangible, but all what he really taught them was teamwork and tree climbing, but did it work.no only tree climbing did.
An example of what I meant is rocklee and gai,lee was a deadlast, but still gia helped him to an extent that lee could math a kage for a short time in taijutsu during part1

Yes, Sakura was trained by Tsunade, just like Naruto was trained by Jiraiya (earlier than Sakura) and Sasuke by Orochimaru. All three of them got trained by Sannins, but Sakura is the only one who didn't receive any special training - even with Kakashi praising her chakra control skills. So while both Sasuke and Naruto received special training - making it even between the two of them - Sakura received none, even though she's as much his student as Naruto and Sasuke.
In the end, it was more Sakura who got treated 'unfairly' (I can't believe I'm saying this considering I'm not exactly a Sakura fan) and not Naruto.

And actually the training about teamwork did work out. For example: the fight with Zabuza where Sasuke and Naruto worked perfectly together.

It didn't bro,if I remeber the quote kakshi taught them after their teamwork ethics was 'those who abandon a mission are trash, but those who abandon their freinds are worse than trash'but sasuke abandoned his teammate for orochimaru,so the teamwork never had any usefulness after wave mission arc.and the reason why sakura wasn't given a special traing was becus of her unseriosnes.sakura wasn't determined(I can't believe a 12yr old is ythinking about luv, when I only started thinking about luv untill I wa 19,creeps me out)determination helps you accomplish anything which sakura lacked,it was only after sasuke left that she started takin being a ninja serious.that's why she was never given any special training before hand.

If Orochimaru hadn't forced the Curse mark on Sasuke, he wouldn't have left his team. Sasuke had started to see them as his family and it's only because the Curse mark drew back his feelings of hatred and revenge that Sasuke decided Orochimaru could give him more power than staying in Konoha would.
So without a Curse mark, Sasuke would have most likely stayed in the village.

But during their missions, it was very clear that they did have teamwork, so Kakashi's lesson did help.

Sakura may have been less serious about the shinobi business in the first part, but she isn't that same girl anymore in the Shippuden serie, yet she still never got any special training of Kakashi. She was the only one who stayed in the village after the two went off to train with their respective sensei, yet Kakashi never thought of training her.

So in Sakura's case, she was treated 'unfairly' both in the first part as in Shippuden while Sasuke and Naruto both received special training.

Did Kakashi know it all the time? I mean he was no one, when the fox incident occurred.. But possibly he could guess it from Narutos last name..
Also, Kakashi had to show more attention to Sasuke. He just failed in teaching the right stuff to sasuke..
