Yamato...Yamato...Where had I heard such a name before? Judging from the way he spoke, his courteous manner of speaking, surely he was of well-upbringing. Yet, I sensed that he was not those wishy washy kind of people, which only a select few can be found in the great village of Konohagakure. Strong, he was, but I couldn't deduce what exactly he specialised in. Yamato was surely knowledgeable though; He mentioned something about bones during his speech which I barely caught up on - So he knew about the Kaguya Clan, a though 'extinct' now, yet famous for their barbaric personalities. Yamato was a well-learned man alright, to know about the Kaguya Clan.
Ah, the ignominy, the very shame of exposing his clan's famed techniques to my opponent at the very start of the battle. Surely this put him at a slight disadvantage? I shrugged it off without much thought.
Come what may, whatever you throw at me, Yamato! I thought, with fresh anew determination to win, albeit now having revealed his abilities to his enemy, yet not knowing his enemy's, putting away the element of surprise in his battle formula. Of course, not that I ever intended to rely on surprising his opponent with his bone techniques; I was courageous, honourable, and henceforth above having to rely on such underhand methods to win. I hence decided to adopt a more wary style of fighting, intending to scout his opponent's moves first. I spoke with conviction in my voice-,
"
Very well, Yamato of the Leaf. I'm glad to hear you were serious, though the attempt at a little pun about my bones should be put away in the midst of the battle. Take the battle completely seriously, that is my ethos in battle.
A warm breeze swept over the plain fields as I finished my piece.
The battle commences. I waited for Yamato to make the first move, standing serenely for multiple moments. Realizing that Yamato didn't look like he had the intention to make the first move, I decided to take the initiative. Starting a battle was never my forte, but, it looks like I might have to start the match now. With a feeling of great trepidation, I began.
I began by choosing a move from my arsenal. It took me only a while to decide, for this was a basic move, and a basic tactic for a first. I smirked as my face widened into a maniacal grin, whilst I simultaneously weave the Rat → Snake → Tiger hand seals, using, with a masterful class unrivalled in finesse;
Manipulating the earth at my will with my chakra, causing two things to simultaneously happen, namely;
- A portion of earth from the ground beneath you is morphed into several tendrils which rise from the ground, almost unknowingly grabbing your legs, coiling itself around your legs tightly, constricting your mobility quite a fair bit. Of course, you might not notice the earth grabbing your legs, which is a very short process which happens fairly quickly, until it does and you feel it as it grabs tightly around your leg, albeit you have seen me perform hand seals and expect something coming. That, however, is avoided by the second effect of this single technique.
- The first initial thing that would happen after you see me weave the hand seals would be seeing a wave of earth rising from the ground directly beneath me. The wave of solid earth is ridden by me, as I travel along the wave which is directed towards you like a tsunami of earth which travels towards you at high speeds. Of course, as I ride the wave, I get into closer proximity with you. Should the wave reach you, it would crash into you with tremendous impact, crushing your body. Of course, as the wave rises, which would be the first thing you'd notice, your legs get grabbed by the earth, constricting your movements and preventing you from simply avoiding the wave of earth, as you cannot move.
Hand seals...Basic yet a rudimentary and mandatory skill for all ninja's to know. It serves as the very foundation of techniques, yet is underestimated by many. It was a simple technique, to constrict one's movements before attacking head-on with a technique, to prevent resistance or a simple escape. Yet, I, being the ruthless and serious fighter I am, wouldn't stop just there, relying on a simple technique to constrict his movements and sending an average wave of earth, expecting this to succeed.
Literally right after using the first technique, without any hesitation, I use;
The very use of this technique requires little to no movement to execute. With me ever riding upon my very own earthen wave, I cause, almost immediately after your legs are grabbed the earth,
water to materialize, a stream of gushing water beneath you, which almost in the same instant, morphs itself into an orb of water which encompasses your entire body.
Water, how pretty a substance it is, glimmering in the bright sunlight of day. It was a truly magnificent sight to behold, an orb of water encompassing a human body, sucking the life out of him, preventing a supply of oxygen which results in suffocation for the poor man. Of course, this also further constricts your movement, as well as prevent the usage of lightning techniques due to the near-instant nature of this technique, along with my attained mastery of the majestic element of water. Any lightning technique would electrocute the water, shocking yourself, should you attempt to use lightning to break out of the earth constriction.
Not only does my second technique further constrict your movements, but also does the job of preventing an easy escape, for it is a common fact to the learned, a man like Yamato, that the Achilles Heel of Earth would be lightning. But would this be enough? As I rode along the wave of earth, ever traversing and converging upon Yamato, now constricted by both earth and water; Surely it would be tough to escape from this wonderfully woven ingenious plan of mine, which executed perfectly? I grimaced, as in my subconscious mind, I knew the answer: No.
Yamato was a complex man. Surely tough and strong. Such minor levels of binding and constriction should prove no more but a warm-up for the man himself. As such, right after materializing the orb of water which surrounds Yamato, I follow up, in quick conjunction, using;
A technique of this nature was most simple, yet effective in the circumstances present, and annoyingly blisteringly fast. Performing a few hand seals simply, I release a wave of electricity which follows almost in conjunction with the previous technique, travelling towards you, electrocuting the orb of water and hitting before the wave of earth. Of course, the reason for this would be that I am travelling upon the wave of earth, hence our distance gradually decreases, with the second technique almost near-instant, the third technique should easily be accomplished before the wave of earth connects. Of course, it would take a short amount of time to electrocute the water, very short, in fact, due to the distance between us and the fast nature of releasing this technique.
Used in conjunction with a water technique, the potential lethality of a lightning technique can never be measured. Lightning was a dangerous and powerful element, yet under a good master who can tame the elements, it becomes a formidable foe. It was a magnificent sight to behold, an electrocuted orb of water which held a human captive within its confinements, paralysing him and hurting him a great deal. My heart pounded with excitement as never before, this very battle was making me come alive! My blood curdled, not with fear, but excitement, excitement for the unknown. What was going to happen?
Of course, shortly after releasing the lightning, the wave of earth crashes into you, crushing your body, which would be paralysed should you have been hit by the lightning which electrocuted the water. As the wave of earth connects, I leapt vertically into the air, lightly, landing with utmost elegance on the ground right after my attacks ravaged your body incessantly.
"Yamato, admitting defeat is not a bad habit for one such as you."
