Minato didn't create the Reaper Death Seal?

I don't think the 4th Hokage created the Reaper Death Seal. Most people do but not me. Most people get that impression because Hiruzen said "this is the 4th's jutsu!" but I don't believe so because he could've said that just because he used it. If Kakashi says "It's Naruto's Rasengan!", does that mean he created it? No, it just sounds better and confuses some people. Or Madara's Susanoo or anything like that. But what do you think? and if you have proof I would love to see it

I agree with you. I don't think he created it and it doesn't seem like he did because everyone knew details about it. If the jutsu were his own creation then i doubt anyone other than he would have known as much as everyone else did.

It's possible that it was a jutsu the Uzumaki clan had known for years and the 4th just learned how to use it, but he manga implies that he created it himself.

Saying it's someone's jutsu pretty much says that they can use it, not they created it.

It's not wise to argue against the manga. It was stated by Hiruzen that it's Minato's jutsu, and such a statement coming from the one who learned every jutsu that existed in Konoha is absolute. Hiruzen knew about the Uzumaki's because they existed in Konoha, so if you're implying that it's an Uzumaki jutsu then Hiruzen would've known, but he clearly stated that it's Minato's jutsu, and it wasn't proven otherwise, so there is no reason to argue about it.
