Lets Put An End To The Kabuto Flamewars

Okay so there has always been a lot of talk, as you all know, about Kabuto and whether or not he is the strongest ninja or not. Here is how I believe both sides should be looked at. I will make it short and sweet.

It is a fact that Kabuto can solo ANYONE with his 30+ edos, and he probably will never need them all.
HOWEVER it should also be understood that Kabuto without edos drastically would reduce his rankings among all top ten lists.

I get how people are saying that his edos are like any other summoning technique, therefore a part of his power, but it is NOT like any other run of the mill summoning jutsu. It not only requires a huge amount of prep time, which any other summon typically would not (excluding the juubi), but it also brings back the best of the best shinobi to have ever lived to fight for Kabuto.

With that being said who wouldn't be the best ranked ninja of all time if you had all the best ninja fighting for you? The answer is pretty much anyone. I really hope you see where I am going with this as I do not want to make it too long to where people don't read.

Lastly, the edo tensei is not even Kabuto's own technique. Sure, he perfected it, but I am damn sure Orochimaru would have too down the road.

To sum up the main points; It isn't fair to call someone the strongest ninja ever in Naruto if they just bring all the best ninja back to life and sit back and do nothing. Of course Kabuto with his edos are #1, but I do not think it is fair to include Kabuto + Edos in ANY top ten list, as it is a no brainer and kind of unfair to the characters with true, raw power. I'm not saying Kabuto isn't strong by himself, he is, but not #1. Without edos he may still be top ten, but for me personally that's pushing it.


I am not saying that my opinion is right, it is just how I believe it should be viewed. I am open to any friendly rebuttal.

Just because he wasnt the one who created it, dosent mean anything,
kinda like how naruto didnt create Rasengan, but apprently has mastered it.

and his edos have already been prepped. He has already located the bodies and already added them to his arsenal.

Thats like saying, Nagato cant use his summons becasue it takes prep trying to locate them all, and then add them.
From what I saw in the manga, Kabuto can just clap his hands together and summon like, 20 ppl. Its a justu that requires chakra use.

He had to Learn Edo tensei, He had to go through the trouble of collecting their DNA.

Let me put it this way:
To get a summoning animal you need to sign it's contract, Then you can summon it.
Getting the DNA is the equivalent to a summoners contract.

Fair or not, it should be counted.

Next you will discount sasori's puppets, Since they're basically the same thing, Expect one is made of wood and the other (well i don't know what edo's are made of xd)

Karin's healing powers.Developed an altered version of Suigetsu's liquification abilty making him impervious to psychical attacks and Jūgo's ability to passively absorb natural energy, allowing him to continuously use Sage Mode without assistance. Jirōbō's chakra absorbing Earth Release techniques, Tayuya's sound-based genjutsu abilities, Kidōmaru's web techniques, and Kimimaro's Shikotsumyaku kekkei genkai,

He can still perform edo tensei but not on a large scale such as the one performed by him in the war
He is a top class medic who can still use yin healing wound destruction and a master in espionage.
His intellect is still in the top tier as well.

This especially with the prep time thing.....he already prepped so all he has to do is clap his hands!

With Edo Tensei he easily trumps almost anyone....but I csn agree that it is a little unfair. Add DSM with the best of the best to fight with you....without a doubt the most OP arsenal.

I can't help but say while it seems unfair to have Edo tensei counted in his arsenal....well it is there and we just have to deal with it :/

sasori puppets are completely different, he killed people hokages and made them into puppets.

kabuto just went grave digging and injecting stolen powers into his body.

there also is no proof that he found all those ninja DNA

example- danzo infused with hashirama dna+ uchiha eyes curtious of orochimaru.

So imo kabuto had most of his work cut out for him, so when orochimaru was out of the picture he picked up where he left off.

How they obtain them is irrelevant.

Edo Tensei's are simply puppets to be used to the puppet masters will, Kabuto just uses kunai with Marking on them instead of chakra strings.
