yeah, but now I think Hakumo is not as strong as the legendary three. Why?

= Tsunade developed her regeneration techniques - Creation Rebirth and Byakugou
= Orochimaru learned several new jutsus, inlucding the Edo tensei
= Jiraiya became stronger too.

Yes, he WAS stronger then them, but now he isn't.
There is no proof since we don't know exactly how strong he was, but the way it's said that sannin were paled in comparison to him, i'm not sure that even with the evolution they closed the gap, especially when we talk about Orochimaru who lost almost all his jutsus after fighting Hiruzen in part1. It's as if you were saying that they are now stronger than Hanzo. We've no proof. Jiraya continue to think that no one could beat that guy alone when he wanted to fight Pain

It never said that HE was stronger than the sannin, it was said that he was respected on the same level as them

Again, it was a translation error. In the official translation, it says they were paled in comparison to him

Sakumo was hailed as a genius shinobi, and was praised for his talents in the ninja arts even by the likes of Minato Namikaze, the future Fourth Hokage. In battle, Sakumo was a truly powerful shinobi, and in his time, his powers were said to surpass those of the Sannin. The mere idea of facing Sakumo brought fear to his enemies, as shown from the reaction of an Iwagakure shinobi initially believing Kakashi to be his father.

Send me the "original Scan" then
I can't show it to you now, it's for this reason that i didn't do it before. But there is a thread talking about viz translations in Narutobase. This one:

And this is what is said concerning that:

Minato: Kakashi's father is Sakumo, the genius ninja feared as The White Fang of Konoha. In his time, the "Three Great Shinobi" of Konoha legend paled beside him.

Growing up beside a man like that...it's hardly a surprise that Kakashi's standards for others are unnaturally high.

Obito: The White Fang...come to think of it, I'm sure I've heard of him. He's some hero who saved the village, and died in the line of duty. Funny, I've never heard Kakashi say a word about him.

Minato: He was a great man revered by everyone...including, of course, Kakashi. That is, until the incident...

Obito: ...Incident?

"Sakumo was a famous and powerful ninja of Konohagakure who, during his lifetime, held fame that was said to overshadow even that of the Sannin."

"In battle, Sakumo was a truly powerful shinobi, and in his time, his powers were said to surpass those of the Sannin."

Both are from the Same Page with Sakumo Hatake, Dont know which one to believe, So i will Stick to The Manga Translation

You took it in narutopedia right? It says that his held overshadowed even the sannins. In order words, his fame was greater than those of the sannins. And on the second sentence it clears that his power surpassed those of the sannins. I don't see the contradiction between the 2sentences

One talks about fame, while the other talks about Power, and The manga That i read Talked about fame. SO that's the contrast between them

Ah i see what you mean now. Probably they thought they confused themselves with the word strong and fame :p Anyway even in the anime, they says that Sannin were pale in comparison(at least the version i've seen says that). And the viz translation makes it clearer. So i think they are smh telling the truth
