Is Sasuke's normal Sharingan Genjutsu that strong?

I was wondering this because against their with Kabuto the Uchiha bros where put on "Demonic Flute: Phantom Sound Chains" and in order to brake free they need to cast Genjutsu on each...Itachi had to use Tsukutomi while Sasuke only used to used a normal Genjutsu.

Why did Itachi use Tsukutomi instead of using a normal Genjutsu? or is Sasuke normal Genjutsu superior to Itachi's normal Genjutsu?

Also, I don't think Sasuke has Tsukuyomi...

My theory is that Genjutsu:Sharingan is a premature Tsukuyomi just like Amaterasu is a premature Blaze Release. We have seen both Madara and Sasuke use Genjutsu: Sharingan so this would be an explanation for why it seems they can use Susanoo without Tsukuyomi. This would mean Sasuke has Tsukuyomi but at the same time he does not.

Itachi used tsukyomi because it didn't matter. he's a edo, it will not deplete his chakra or hurt his eyes... Sasuke on the other hand has to worry about recoil etc.. which he receives from using tsukyomi.... In a situation like that where he was getting attacked..why use a jutsu that causes intense pain in the eye?

Sasuke's Genjutsu is not on the same echelon as Tsukuyomi being as it can not manipulate ones perception of Time and Space or the length of the Genjutsu.[

Nah, it isn't... And at least, I haven't seen any of Sasuke's major fights proving such genjutsu prowess from Sasuke ex. Vs Zetsus...
