[Discussion] "How could I call myself Hokage if I can't even save one friend?" and Neji.

In chapter 486, Kakashi urges Naruto not to let Sasuke take him down because he still has his dream of becoming Hokage, and Naruto says, "How could I call myself Hokage if I can't even save one friend?"

What do you think Neji's death means for Naruto's dream of being Hokage? Do you think Obito took more from Naruto than just the life of a comrade?

I don't think Naruto was really that good of friends with neji. Not like sasuke or sakura. He should be fine once he gets his anger over with.

You should know to differentiate a motivation besides than any rhetorical remarks. Naruto says it to believe one thing, that no matter how hard the situation will be, he will always put his friends first. Its just a matter of his belief and self-challenging.

Naruto still hasn't saved Sasuke in the same way, and if he doesn't, hatred wont disappear, and Naruto knows that. U_U

lol, true. By now pretty much any of the K11 could be considered a better friend than Sasuke, who wasn't much of a "friend" to begin with.

what he meant is, how can he become hokage if he puts himself first over his friends?
