Part one was 100x better part two is 30-40% fillers and war arc is widely agreed upon as the worst canon arc. And since the war arc will likely be closing naruto it kinda sucks knowing part two was meh.

You don't see the pattern? They extended the first series to give Kishi time to progress the story before doing Shippuden. I think this is a sign the story really is getting ready to end in the next year and some change. They've got to stretch the story out a bit so Kishi can continue to fill plot holes and wrap it up. No fillers would mean Shippuden would be too close to the magna.

I really don't get these "it's not canon" people. It is canon, since Kishi/the people who represent him obviously aprove of it (otherwise it would be a copyright issue). It's no fanfiction or other unofficial stuff.
