Mei gets highly underrated, she actually has a very good shot at beating the 4th kazekage.
She can already use large scale suiton for defensive and offensive purposes against the gold sand. Furthermore the water she used can also be used as a catalyst for hidden mist jutsu. Corrosion style basically turns all water acidic by changing the pH if the water, so Mei can easily cover the area in an acidic mist that also serves the function of hiding her.
