Loosening the grip of his hands could be counted as a reaction.he had to think to himself as he was getting beat "if I loosen my hand and, then use my speed I can beat her", and then he REACTED to his thought and beat her.

If he attacked Naruto straight off like that instead of giving him a chance then Tsunade wouldn't have been able to see it let alone say "Stop!". Naruto would also be dead. U_U

while i believe that her speed is clearly downplayed as she is clearly faster than an average ninja or even an ANBU, i still don't think he reaction time is equal to A.. she was given superior strength than him, let's just leave the speed to A.. though i have to admit that if weren't for her fast thinking, all of Konoha should be dead right now..

You say it yourself. It could have. But what is your proof that it wasn't version2 instead? For me it's version2 because we see his hair trying to go up(in version1 it stays fix without changing its form) but is caught by his headband. Also, A was not young at that moment. He was probably even in his prime. Don't forget current A is old(Naruto even called him grandpa). Furthermore look at the pic again where Minato throws the kunais and you will notice that A is accumulating chakra(lightning armour). He needs to do that to use version2(he did the exact same thing against Sasuke's Amaterasu)

He did speed blitz him at the start but, Minato threw his kunai while he blitzed him. Now that's reaction speed.

This is what happens when people can't read manga properly. A needs time to enter version2(we've already seen it when he powered-up to evade Sasuke's Amaterasu). The time he charged up, it's easy to throw kunais everywhere. A knew Minato was a threat(Minato alone was able to stop their mission of recovering the nine tails), so he had no other choice than going all out and use V2

Nope, you can't blame Kishi. He made Minato intelligent. It was his speciality to counter-attack the enemy's attack.

He did it against Obito and he did it again vs A. Minato knows the limits of his jutsu and it's advantages.

In order to react you would have to aware of what you are reacting to. Then take whatever measure you need to in order to overcome is.

Awareness usually starts from sight, then mind.

Reflex: An action that is performed without conscious thought as a response to a stimulus.


Eyes > Mind > Body = Reaction.
You see, you interpret you act

Ill give you an example. Sasuke vs lee. Sasuke's eyes were able to keep up and so was his mind, however he was lacking in body movement or should i say reflex to overcome lee's taijutsu.

Lets switch things up abit. Lets say this time the person has the body movement but does'nt have eyes/mind. Kakashi knew how to use chidori, however he didn't have the reaction time due to loss of awareness.

In sasuke's he lacked reflex (body movement). Kakashi's case he lacked eye's/mind (awareness).
When both are combined do you gain reaction time.

All the kages had the eyes/mind, the had awareness. However just because Tsunade decided to go first means nothing. Her reflexes is no where near A who wouldve gotten there before her.


What is fascinating about A is that his raiton no yoroi does both. It boosts his mind (awareness) and body speed to give his reaction time that cannot be gained. It basically upgrades his all body function to stupid levels
