im somewhat half way through fairy tail its a good read but i don't get as excited for fairy tail that i do for naruto so to me i say naruto is better.

When you get into the recent arcs of Fairy Tail I can guarantee you that you will be excited for the manga. For the past few chapters of Naruto its just been the Juubi showing off its power. While in Fairy Tail a battle which we have been waiting for almost a year is about to start. :y

Natsu's power-ups are ridiculous but Naruto has his fare share of power-ups too. Fairy Tail can't beat Naruto in its prime but at the stage the Naruto manga is in currently and the progression Fairy Tail has made currently, I think Fairy Tail is better slightly.

Exactly when has anyone in Naruto gotten powerups without any sacrifice.

lol erza is probably my favourite character and she definitely is not useless

I like Fairy Tail more atm. True, it has its share of bs, the whole 'power of nakama' thing is getting a little too old, but it's still a good show.
Naruto however is getting to be a drag. I mean, Tobi being Obito was one thing, but the dude declaring war on the world just because some girl who mostly didn't even like him got killed? Hell, even Sasuke isn't that stupid, no offence to Sasuke fans.
Besides, there are some interesting developments I'd like to see in FT's plot, like the status of the Dragons, what Zeref is up to and what this 'Lumen Histoire' that everyone keeps talking about is.

I love both but Naruto will always be my number one.

However, I don't know why FT is getting so much hate.
It's fun to watch and all this "Natsu is a rip off of Luffy" is just boring to read because all FT haters say so.
You can't decide after 1 episode that an anime has no plot. You have to give it time :y

I'm liking FT better atm. Also, it's fillers are better than Naruto's.

Obviously Erza is going to be the most important as she is one of the major background characters. Kagura and Minerva are also deeply tied into the story as Kagura is a part of Jellal's past which is still pretty shady. And Minerva is the one manipulating the whole guild Sabertooth and beating up Lucy.

Lets compare sakura to erza well lets see sakura has strength precision and horrible dialogue.
Erza has a badass attitude and actual skill as she is the fastest requip mage ever also she show's more determination and has finished strong oponents by herself.

For me they're equal. They have both high and low points, but I don't think that those two exclusively are better than the other.

I have no opinion on this... I only watch Naruto but from what I know Fairy Tale looks ok..
