Fairy tail's greatness, like in bleach where ichigo defeated aizen, will end with the fight between him and zeref which will basically be the next arc.
to me, i think Katekyo Hitman Reborn is better than these two.
reasons:
1. the anticipation to see how and what makes tsuna change his mind to be the vongola boss
2. takes the whole worlds understanding of the mafia, turns it upside down, and plonks right on your head.
3. his powerups aren't that drastic in that he pulls it out of his arse, it comes from analyszing his past fights and working on what went wrong, and how he could improve
4. has the comedy that every single anime needs
5. has the best love triangles
6. the powers are freakin crazy, and the whole power balance is just scary
i could go on and on, but yeah, in this scenario
(for me) naruto is slightly falling behind, im only reading it to see how the end plays out, im not as fanatical about it as i was when i started reading/watching it, and natsu is a crack up because he is always dumb, and his intelligence only comes out in fights.
but overall, KHR takes the cake, oh i mean, Fairy tail and naruto caught in an endless arm wrestle.
i think this discussion is for when both animes/mangas are fin.
