Yes and no. Ao, Shikaku, Ino's dad, the random Sandman and the other random guy are all toast. So the one responsible for sll the deployment is dead, but his final strategy was carried across so the mind still lives until the plan ends...though Shikamaru is still a good mind!

Yes people have survived nukes and atomic bombs, its quite common, your point really isnt valid, in the shinobi world anything can happen, they could have used body flick and escaped for all we know

HQ is a facility, the bijuu dama causes an enourmous explosion wich can be appreciated in the manga. and you actually think they can survive, you live in a world of fantasy. smh
