Tactically, i must say minato is better than his son, but his son is a stamina-freak, naruto would outdone his father, his stamina is twice more than minato. So, the aftermath would sided to naruto.

The thing is : no matter how good you're prepared or how smart u are, if Naruto does something completely unexpected .. then it might actually work. cuz it normally wouldn't make any sense and nobody expects those things from a ninja.

So yeah he might be able to outsmart Minato with a crazy unexpected tactic..

Naruto didn't use any kind of trick on pein, He was losing badly and gave up; that isn't a trick that is just losing faith.
