[Predictions] Naruto's possible death

Hey that makes sense, because he told Sasuke if he attacks Konoha he has to kill him first, and Hokage is the perfect person to confront somebody who wants to kill the village. Except there is a problem, that in the same confrontation where he told Sasuke this he also told Kakashi that he can't be Hokage if he can't save one friend. So it'll definitely have to be before he's Hokage. Tsunade doesn't have to die for this, she could still survive and decide to retire.

Not true. Death and resurrection are a part of dramatic storytelling. If not literally then metaphorically. The hero will reach his goals and then have everything taken away from him. For this to work he will have to have something happen to him way worse than what happened at the climax of the Invasion of Pain arc which did have a Death and Resurrection moment. That was when he went beyond the point-of-no-return with the ninetails transformation. By that I mean that when he reached four tails he got horrible injuries so nobody could anticipate survival once he got beyond that, and he was inches from giving himself to the Kyuubi to end it. Because stories require that every time you spread the gap between what the hero wants and reality, you have to make it even wider the next time around. How will Kishimoto beat his Invasion of Pain climax? Naruto might actually have to die before he reaches victory.

Personally i think that having Naruto live a long life and die of old age would be good, kinda like how Mito went. She was super old by the time she had Kurama taken out. Seems that he could very well stay epic until he gets old, I mean look at Jiraya, he was in his fifties, the third hokage was still pretty epic when he was old, and Naruto has natural longevity anyway.

Naruto dying of old age is not the worst case scenario, in fact I find it a much better possibility.

so naruto wont die it was hokages 2-5 that sacrificed them selfs. Remember tsunade she is right now currently torn in half, she will most likely die and sakura will freak out, naruto will become hokage after the war and then fight sasuke, while he is hokage or before but he is probably going to be the 6th.

Couldn't have said it any better. I can see him having the 9 tails maybe taken and left on death's door like his mom. That would have him relying on his own strength without the aid of the 9 tails. That Invasion of Pain Arc is gonna be hard to top since it had both of Naruto's teachers dying to protect him, his village destroyed, a friend cut down in front of him, a reuion with his father, and a showdown with a classic villian in Pain. Right now Obito and Sasuke don't come close enough to filling that role unless something drastic happens.

That Invasion of Pain Arc is gonna be hard to top since it had both of Naruto's teachers dying to protect him, his village destroyed, a friend cut down in front of him, a reuion with his father, and a showdown with a classic villian in Pain. Right now Obito and Sasuke don't come close enough to filling that role unless something drastic happens.

I'm confident in whatever final arc Kishimoto has planned, I think he even said that he had the pages for the final climax drawn up already and there's lots of time to tweak it and he has the help of his editors and everything. He says it's just a matter to moving the story toward it.

I've thought of the possibility that he might have the 9-tails removed too, that would be a blow.
