Surpassing/following the older generation

Hey guys thought i would make a thread about this as this is a re-occuring theme throughout naruto that kishi uses,and if we go by this it can answer several questions (theoretically).I will give some examples and if you think you can add to it please do comments much appreciated

sakura>tsunade
First i'll start with sakura and her becoming a medical ninja and gaining super strength just like tsunade.I believe she will become a better medical ninja as she has shown that she is very capable of this with her fight against sasori and healing herself as she pulls his katana out of her.

Sasuke>itachi>orochimaru
Sasuke followed in oro's footsteps by leaving the village in search of power as did oro,in the same situation with jiraya trying to stop him from leaving but failing just like naruto.I believe if we follow this theory of the generations sasuke will sacrifice himself for his village(in a way by this i mean save naruto in the dying moments i.e. jump in front of him)

naruto>jiraya>minato
Naruto as we know has become the sage and inevitably will become the hokage(just not yet),where jiraya and minato failed to defeat madara and pein naruto will succeed.And where jiraya failed to get the girl i believe naruto will...in the end

shikamaru>asuma
shikamaru has the intelligience to surpass that which asuma had,he was also offered to join the 12 monks,he is going to be the child of asuma's mentor and sensei.He has taken up smoking and I believe he will play the same role as asuma in the future.(so he won't become hokage as people have mentioned)

kakashi>minato>white fang of konoha
I believe kakashi will follow in the footsteps of his sensei minato and give his life protecting the village,i also believe that a new light will come about telling the truth about the white fang of konoha and the reasons for what he did.(all in all i believe kakashi will follow the footsteps of minato and become the next hokage eventually naruto will be next but i believe kakashi will have a spell first.)

izuna uchiha>madara uchiha
I believe in my opinion that if we follow this trend that izuna beat madara as sasuke did itachi (this is just my opinion) i believe tobi is izuna.I believe something may have happened to madara in the fight between the 1st or the 4th which would lead to izuna wanting revenge (this would go in sync with sasuke wanting revenge for what happened to itachi and his clan )

All in all this is just my idea based on the trend of the generation surpassing/following in the generation before thems footsteps as kishi is so fond of tell me what you guys think (try not to be to harsh) if i've left anything out or you think you can add anything to it please do

haha i wouldn't say blown away but it is just stating wots right under our noses that some people may not have noticed this is why i say surpass/follow rather than saying they all surpass (as kakashi may not surpass minato)

good job with the analysis Devlin. I was thiking about why every generation surpases the previous and I think I've figured at least a part of it out. With every gneration of teaching, the methods improve. the teaching becomes fine tuned and the teachers teach the students areas that were previosly unexplored.
example: the rasengan.
Minato spent years coming up with the concept of the rasengan. after forming the idea he then had to spend time figuring out how to form and manipulate it. but after all of that work, he could then teach it to jaraiya. so now jaraiya now can learn it without spending the wasted time trying to figure it out. when it comes to naruto, he learned it quite fast, but then the progression slowed when he had to take it further. So naruto put in the footwork, but his student will be able to learn it quicker than naruto did, because naruto already figured out the mechanics of it.

Does that make sense?

i don't think kakashi has surpassed minato. maybe he might in the future. I think it would be really hard to surpass Minato since he is probably one of the greatest shinobi to ever have lived.

Yeh i know what you mean dude,its like having the basics explained to him so he doesn't have to think about it himself so he has the theory just needs to do the practical himself i.e. kage bunshins-rasengan as you say.

yeah its like they learn all the old stuff quickly since its been figured out already and ccan be explained, then they move onto the new stuff, then the new stuff can be taugh quickly and then the next student somes up with even more
