i decided to make this theory because ppl have been to hard on sai
& well iam bored so just consider what i am saying

Sai technique is much like the rinnegan

when locating Kabuto

but instead of using s rank bodies to do his bidding's like nagato

By drawing pictures on a scroll, the user can create life-size beings under his/her control. Since they are still made of ink, however, a single blow is usually enough to dispel them. & heh as his scroll out & its the mice that are probally notcing kabutos movements
& if u look @ the 3 pain bodies picture i am talking about It works like that
i am not saying it is just like that

I don't think it's safe to assume that Sai can see what his mice see. There is no mention of mice and even if there was, it's a stretch to assume that Sai shares their sight.

1st i siad its almost alike not the same like how it functions

PAIN IS S RANK controlling 6 bodies

in my opinion the 6 bodies are considered a form of jutsu just like sasoris 100 puppet attack

sai is D rank controlling ninjutsu like those ink mice

i know some times he use a bird to fly or snakes to bind his oppnents
but for recon missions he uses certain jutsu or animal like drawings to gathering info on the terrain & other things
