Gaara at this time is visiting the leaf village. While he was visiting, he felt a bit of nostalgia and decided to wonder the forest of death. He wondered all throughout the forest and notices chiyo. Lady chiyo, what are you doing here? O_O

Sorry I kinda got caught up with things. I'm not exactly at home right now (will be tomorrow) so this may be lackluster. Also I still can't see the image so I'll assume it's a blank manga panel where we have to do something exciting before we can move on, or a forest clearing either one's good. :3

Good grief.
Chiyo, who was already in the Leaf Village upon request of the Slug Princess Tsunade, was merely digging through the Forest of Death for some herbs for Sunagakure's medical collection. She was never one to rely on other countries for even the simplest of things, they should have gone through the trouble themselves. It was strangely requested that she, Lady Chiyo herself were to go. Apparently the Hokage had something for her and requested she personally come. It was much to her surprise that it was hte Kazekage himself to show up behind her.
"Oh, Gaara-kun!" She was quite surprised about the strange visit from him. "You seem to be doing well. I was here on request of the Hokage, Tsunade and thought I should get some medicinal herbs for Sunagakure." She wouldn't be the one to let onto the kazekage she was ordered by their medical team to get herbs, even against her own will.


This is totally canon. U_U

Her plea seemed ineffective against the Kazekage. Did the medical nin of Sunagakure not tell him about her leave to Konoha? Did he not know of Tsunade's intentions for inviting Chiyo over for whatever reason? find out next week
"I'm sorry, Gaara" Chiyo mentioned. She got up from the ground, holding a few medical plants to take back to Suna and put on a rather stern face while turning to speak to her Kazekage. "I thought you'd have been told by our medical nin." Something didn't seem right about Gaara's demeanor. He wasn't one to get irritated easily, and especially over as small of a matter as one of the elders leaving to see an old friend. "You know about my friendship with Hokage-sama, I can't just ignore her."
