back in early part 2 kakashi talks about the whole kakuzu fight and basically saids if naruto didnt show up he would had to resort to kamui?

i guess this means kakashi was conifdent that he can 1 shot kakuzu and i beliebe he could had since he was basically in front of him in a linear path also.

It is possible, but this is the problem.

First was Kakuzu was in the process of ripping out his heart.
Now that doesn't mean he fang use Kamui, but he would be in the range to see Kakashi's eye change. Being an expirienced ninja I would take it he would notice shit was about to go down....instantly uses his threads to pierce Kakashi and he kills him.

Now let's say that Kamui succeeds. We now know that you live going into the other demension. Seeing how tired Kakashi already was, and stating Kamui would have pushed him over the edge. Kakuzu's masks would be free to finish him off.

It is a tough call. Part of Kakashi's newfound strength comes with help from Kurama so we can't say that he has the strength to just spam Kamui in that situstion. At the same time we can't entirely say he couldn't.

So basically it is possible that he could have (especially if he had done it while he was hiding), but in the situation he was in just before Naruto arrived he was car from in a position to come through it without being in danger.

Yes, he could. It's too bad that almost NO ONE takes this page into consideration and they say that Kakuzu>Kakashi back then, even though Kakashi was greatly handicapped and still would have won. :|

Quite so I agree! That's why I added the second part! If Kakuzu got suckered in (Kamui takes a second or two) it is possible for him to jettison his masks (unless at this point the masks had yet to reform with him can't remember). The use of Kamui would have left Kakashi practically done and passed out allowing the masks to finish him off potentially. Someone also mentioned that Obito could have gone and picked him up (would have been rather interesting!). So one could say Kakashi would technically win, but Kakuzu wouldn't be dead at the same time......damn you Kakashi why didn't you just Kamui Kakuzu....he could be alive right now -.-

This is why people still think Kakuzu>Kakashi because we can only assume what happened during that situation. Alot people just can't come to a conclusion when Kakuzu almost took his life twice. Also when he was at a disadvantage after the sneak attack he did to him.

Also, Kakashi was only endangered once - when Hidan killed one of Kakuzu's hearts. It was confirmed that he was not endangered in a moment before Naruto's arrival in the manga (it was said he would have used Kamui).

While I understand how some might still think that Kakashi back then was weaker than Kakuzu, are there any people left who think so about current Kakashi? That would be weird.
