idt she survived due to her uzumaki bloodline/ chakra. i think she survived solely on will power. think about it, when has naruto ever given up??? granted they may have gotten that from their heritage, but it wasn't due to massive chakra or a kekkai genkai, they are simply hard headed...and sometimes that wins lol

Oh deffinatly! Her naturally strong vitality (Uzumaki trait) and large chakra reserves means she easily outlasts opponents (Just like Naruto does). I noticed that she basically seemed to fall out of the Shinobi system after being a Jinjuriki as well as the Fourths wife. Having a kid never helps you train/ go on missions!

Hahaha you could practically say Asuma himself XD! And do you mean Kurenai?! Ex-leader of team Kurenai (Hinata, Shino, and Kiba). Funny part is that they weren't Married XD!!!! Not that we ever saw!

Dang it, I had a feeling I was wrong on that one! You are right though about neither of them being all that amazing, to me they both just seemed like average Jonin who would've been fodder had the story been from another perspective XD.

Well I wouldn't day your wrong...If I'm not mistaken marriage and *** is kind of a bigger deal in Asia than it is in the US do it is possible they were planning on getting married (considering they had a kid together it was basically certain)....Daddy sadly met Hidan :/.

I would say they are above average Jonin. Awkwardly between the strong like Kakashi and the fodder Jonin! I mean in the war Asuma as taking people down so he is slightly above fodder, but can't take anyone above fodder (same with Kurenai)!

i would put kushina in the category with people like tsunade, darui, kitsuchi, mei, kurotsuchi and konan

kushina will struggle with people like deidara, kakuzu, sasori and danzo

why? she was a master of sealing jutsu which is OP and she was rough from beat up people in the academy/chunin exams, she's an uzuamaki so she has alot of chakra and long life force, ALSO she seemed intelligent when she helped naruto fight the kyuubi, she has water element (this is speculation BUT she's from the whirlpool village so im just using logic)
