Lets be honest. Lets not be biased and look at this subjectively for a second. What did Hiruzen actually do? He didn't exactly "win"
He committed a murder-suicide. What happened was, Hiruzen was getting his ass kicked by the watered-down versions of Hashirama and Tobirama, so he was forced to pull out a jutsu that literally solos anyone at the cost of ones life. Sure, he held his own. But in the end, he was forced to suicide. Please, don't bring his age into it because as you've said, you think he defeated both of them. To you, his age doesn't matter, right?

Now are you going to tell me none of what I said is true? Are you going to tell me I'm making all of this up?
Let me ask you a question. Can Hiruzen defeat Hashirama? Based on everything we know each character is capable of; excluding biased ideas and hype, who would win? Hashirama Senju, or Hiruzen Sarutobi?
Please, answer truthfully.

If he defeated Orochimaru, then why is he in a grave, while Orochimaru is alive and kicking?
