Haku vs Asuma

I actually think Haku can take Asuma, here's why:

1. Haku matches Asuma's speed and has enough taijutsu skill to hold his own for a little bit, and if he can get a hold of Asuma he can use Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death using 1 hand for handseals.

2. Haku's intelligence is on par with Asuma's, which this is also according to the databooks, so Asuma won't be outsmarting Haku.

3. I don't see how Asuma can escape the Ice Mirrors, his Burning Ash wouldn't work because it's elementally overpowered and the Fire Ball Jutsu had no effect. Fire elemental jutsu really have no effect overall. Dust Cloud may actually destroy a mirror, but Asuma wouldn't be able to jump out and escape because of the barrage of senbons and possible Water Needles, letting Haku simply create a new mirror and leaving Asuma even more injured. If you say that Asuma could use Dust Cloud to destroy all the mirrors, you're wrong because there are 21 mirrors, you think Asuma has all the chakra to do that? Plus Haku can guard the mirror by using Ice Release: Ice Dome.

4. Asuma doesn't have that Thousand Hand Strike move because it's non cannon for him so he doesn't have the enhanced defence to block the senbon.

So overall, I don't think Asuma can keep up with Haku while in the mirrors, as it's said he travels close to the speed of light in them, and that only a user with Sharingan or enhanced vision can track his movements, which Asuma doesn't have.

-I'm pretty sure Asuma's Ash Smoke tech can destroy Haku's Ice. Not only that I think Asuma is much better than Haku in terms of taijutsu as well.

-Asuma is a Jounin rank for a reason, he may not be on Gai's and Kakashi's level but I am certain he can defeat Haku

-I also believe that Asuma would be smarter than Haku, for the following reasons... Asuma has more battle experience and second while Haku was laying in a grave Asuma has been living and learning.

You cant compare Sasuke to a genin level, he could do chidori at genin level and use Sharingan, dont go down that route. Asuma's burning ash isnt even that strong or difficult to perform, its b-rank also

Is it sad when I started reading my first thought when reading "if Haku uses HIS" was to change it to her, but then remembering Haku was in text a boy....

OT: Interesting. Ice style is supposed to best out fire as it is both wind and water so assuming that his mirrors beat his wind or fire techs...Maybee not a simultaneous wind and fire attack. I day if he gets caught in the mirrors and Haku goes for a kill he may win unless Asuma clouds up the inside and blows it up...hurting both Haku and himself......

An interesting match up! I guess it depends on just how skilled Haku truly was. If he was truly skilled I could see him winning. Plus he probably had other Ice techs like the one that destroyed his old home...
