Now would be a good time for Kurama to share all he knows about how the SO6P originally defeated the Juubi if the Sage shared that with them. Was it trickery? Or uber haxed Sealing techs like space-time ninjutsu maybe? We know he probably was a Sage so maybe some info on that. Considering its the Juubi they are facing Kurama (Other than the Hachibi the only one that might know anything about it) seems to know jack all about it, sure he knows somethings but its not like he's saying, "Ok heres the plan grandpa Rikudo did yada yada yada last time lets try that!" ??
So far they are not being very smart about this, what the heck is throwing a bijudama at it going to do, even at point blank range? They are just attacking with no idea how to defeat it, all the while wasting energy. Even if it hits and without being repelled by what might be Rinnegan techs from a Bijuu it won't hurt any of the antagonists, the juubi will just take it and keep coming likely with no damage, Madara can just take it like a boss as an Edo Tensei and at most all it will do is make Tobi flee to Kamui for a few moments. In other words totally doomed to failure.
From what we can tell so far, SO6P did not have the Rinnegan or the extremely powerful body before he became the Juubi's host. I suppose it likely that the body he had to begin with, but not the dojutsu. How these traits were past onto descendants is beyond me though. Is it like Naruto's whisker markings or something as those are supposed to be a sign of Kurama's influence. Though why they would be split between descendants makes zero sense...
Tbh it sounds like the Sage managed to do the impossible without any help from unique abilities, the ultimate underdog. Hence he must have had some way to outwit the Juubi, not out power it, how can you defeat the essence of chakra itself with chakra?? No the sage must have know something about the Juubi that gave him an edge like no other.
Another thing I noticed, is that the Sage seemed to know all the Bijuu very well like he had been with them the majority of his life, and they knew him, so its not like he created them at the end of his life, he must have sealed the Juubi in the moon early on and split the chakra at the same time when he was younger. He had already anticipated what would happen when he sealed the juubi.
