Your constitution your speaking of isn't the same as what it once was. America is ruled not governed. If you have to fear your government you aren't in control of it.

I know all that balance of power, the people, all that. However, when has the people exercise the documents such as bill of rights and consituation as a collective. We sign many of our rights over. Yet, we complain about the unfair changes the government has made. I'm just saying, its the government that has much control, than the people.

It's not just about Obama, it's about our entire government. It took them all to get us in mess, republicans and democrats. Every Empire falls, it's just a matter of time. Abusive policies and forgetting the government is meant to serve, not to rule. Smaller entities better serve the needs of the people. Washington is just too remote to give a damn about what we the people think. The Soviet Union let their members leave mostly peacefully, the USA should follow that enlightened policy. If just one state succeeds I'd move there asap. In fact if each succeeds state is self ruled each could establish policies to attract citizens of similar cultural preference. Cultural diversity is confusing and expensive, nice to visit but you wouldn't want to live there.

The USA is not a democracy it is a republic.

It's an Extended Limited Commercial Federal Democratic Republic. Oh yeah, he never said it wasn't a republic. When he refers to democracy in America, he's referring to the popular use of term in which the government derives its power from the people, which it does.
