Secede from the U.S please read.

There are 18 states that have made petitions (by the citizens) to secede from our nation.
Texas is one of them, and the only one that I am worried about. I ask you to sign the petition. The general article link is below.

Okay everyone needs to really study politics and history before they go overreacting on this. This is actually something that has happened before and very recently multiple times. After the 2004 election yes the one where George Bush was reelected it happened as well as in 2008 when Obama was first elected this happened. So anyone that uses this as an example of how the country is going to become a "shit storm" as some have said are ignorant, naive or just full of illogical rage.
Read your shit before you call other people ignorant.

Its actually the opposite. The acceptance of Obama being re-elected means this is the next logical step to get away from this soon to be 3rd world country. You can't borrow your way out of debt bottom line.

While I love the internet, it does turn some things that are usually serious matters into jokes. I'm willing to bet a lot of the people who signed that petition haven't considered the ramifications of seceding from the US.

I can personally speak for texas and texas only.
Texas has the 15 largest economy in the world. If they were to secede, U.S would be dumb to cancel all relations with them. I'm sure Texas would be fine if they wree to PEACFULLY secede.

The same citizens who are running away? Funny. No idea nor movement. A Simple opinion on what feel is an unpatrionize cost. You say it is a right. However, I call it what I see it. The government has control. Besides, its just to prove a point. Its nothing serious.

But you have to wonder how strong the economy would stay without the helping hand of the US in terms of alliances, trade agreements, etc. Not to mention they would have to come up with a constitution, elect new government officials, new security forces, create a military, secure its own borders, etc.
Its not like they can secede and keep going on with every day life.
