Kenjutsu is a form of combat that pertains to wielding a sword, that is it means the art of the sword/wielding a sword,, it is used mostly by samurais but shinobis have been known to wield a sword too, it can be combined with nin/taijutsu to enhaace your chances of defeating the enemy

Many people have their own definitions as to what it is, but a simple universal truth remains; Kenjutsu is the art of the Sword. Swordsman often believe that if you do not respect or fear the sword, than you are not fit to wield one. Many people see it as nothing more than a tool of war, but to a samurai, the sword is a means of protection more than anything else.

Alright, so, do you know what the difference is between a One-Handed and Two-Handed Slash? Besides the obvious of course.

well I think a two handed slash has more cutting power, since the effort is kinda doubled, while one handed slash doesn't

Two handed: more power, faster swing, less freedom of movement, less flexibility in overall movement, more control

One: handed: less power, less control of swing(I think?), more flexibility of movement of sword, and more freedom of movement generally

Close but no cigar. Flexibility isn't the right word. Why would something involving a swing of your arms inhibit the movement of your entire body? And no, you don't have less 'control' per say when you do a One-Handed Slash as opposed to a Two-Handed. One more try? =DD

No worries, you weren't far off, I was just being a jerk.

A One-Handed Slash is not as fast, nor as powerful as a Two-Handed. However, a One-Handed offers you more maneuverability with the sword. It is also easier to chain consecutive strikes. A Two-Handed slash is the opposite - More powerful, and faster due to the extra force behind the blade. It is also harder to chain consecutive strikes after, and generally offers a bit less maneuverability than a One-Haned.

Well, yes, but moreover, no ~

A stab is basically like a forward thrust of the blade; It differs from a slash of cut in that stabs generally move perpendicularly to or directly into the opponents body. Stabs are quick but do not carry much force behind them, and are not very powerful-However a well placed hit can easily kill (Well placed as in a vital point, and there are several, though they are generally aimed at the mid section). You can do this one handed or two handed.
