2 huge characters... ugh, if this is an actual quote from Kishi, then we actually may see both of them die. My guess by "Huge characters" he means ones that have been in the story since the beginning... Kakashi and Hinata are the only two that fit that bill.

and Deaths from Naruto's Team... Kakashi.

This was posted before Jiraiya's death at the hands of Pein, Jiraiya is included within the 2 Huge Characters "Of Konoha". The other may infer either Hinata OR Kakashi. Kishimoto also stated that no death would be a clear kill (with major characters) during the Pein Invasion Arc.

Well there some interestin points but there are some faults as well, The kyubi was subdued by Sasuke when they found him at orochimaru's place at the time Sasuke had the normal sharingan not mangekyou, so a normal sharingan can subdued the kyubi chakra. As for Yahiko Pain i don't think he will die or be destroyed. Konan in the other hand will, she did stated that this is the last time that her paper jutsu will be used, So i'm guessing she's forceing his deadth. They can't both die cuz that will just leave Nagato crippled and we can't have that can we?

Naruto has lost more than 3 loved ones, Jiraya, Pa-Toad, Kakashi, and Hinata. There are two for sure that have died jiraya and Pa-toad so now will Kakashi or HInata die? i can't even pick one.

Also don't forget about Shizune ... not sure she can be considered to be close to Naruto but I think she is actually. Naruto wants to be Hokage someday and in Konoha everyone cares about everyone in Konoha which Shizune was a part of so the order would be Jiraya , Pa Toad and Shizune. So Kakashi and Hinata could still be alive and I believe somone has said something about Shizune posted here somewhere.

Personally I don't think that Kishi will kill off Hinata... that would kill a LOT of his fanbase.. more so than that of killing off kakashi. I think there're more Naruhina fans than pure Kakashi fans.

But maybe that's what he's waiting to see? "Which one can I kill off without losing a lot of money?" Evil minded kishi

Now I know what I'm about to say is gonna open up the same can of worms that's always opened when we have this discussion; Tsunade isnt gonna die b/c there is no one who would become the Hokage. :kakashi:

There again this is open; Its not Kakashi's type of job, I don't think he wants to be Hokage (this is one of the few times I dont have fact to back up my theory); At the same time I dont think Naruto is ready to lead; he's only 17 (at most) and he not mature enough to become the leader he cant be. :naruto:

Also Tsunade doesn't have enough strengh left to do anything at this point; she has turned into her real self (I mean old); Finally (and this is the big one here), There would be no to tell Naruto of his heritage; As it was said in the interview Naruto would be told of his heritage and where he comes from and from what we have heard in the manga, Only Tsunade and Jiraiya knew who his parents were, that would mean that Tsunade has to survive. :headband:

Jman=dead
Iruka?
Kakashi?
Hinata?
Tsunade? she could risk her like to save someone or Donzo kills her
Shizune=dead she is Tsunade's partner and cares a lot for Naruto
rookie 9 so far only Hinata in danger
Gai's team could produce casualty

But it's not a solid statement: "3 of Naruto's important people will die or get seriously injured"

So, it doesn't mean 3 must die. It could be 1 dead and 2 injured or 2 dead and 1 injured. peace

Let's settle this about Hinata by reasoning.

Naruto loves Hinata a lot because Pain stabbed him with 8 'chakra confusion rods' Naruto shouldn't be able to do anything right or even move. But at the sight when Pain stabbed her, he exploded like a nuclear bomb. I can't think of anyway to show how mad he became.

But if Kishimoto kills Hinata to make Naruto grow up, he's doing it the wrong way. Killing her, I think, will only make Naruto want revenge more than peace or protect the village "will of fire". So many people close to Naruto die or about to die already. So, when Naruto saw Hinata stabbed, that was the last straw. I think at this point he says: screw this shit, I don't care anymore, all I care about is to get my revenge on Pain and let the fox eat him or rape him what ever. So, I think Hinata cause him to go monster, it'll be Hinata to calm him down.

I say Hinata has a 99.99999% chance live. If Kishimoto is the devil then he'll kill Hinata. lol peace.

IMO this is how it is if Hinata dies: J-man was kind of a turning point which made Naruto a more serious character, he doesn't seem to joke around anymore.. And now with hinata's death... he will become... EMO!!!
