Fire in RL:
Hmmm... Fire is fire. hot, mostly red, untouchable and destroys almost everything. It can cause great catastrophes as well as give warm to people around a campfire or in the house. Just like the water, earth, wind the fire is a great inducement of the nature. where fire destroys, new life begins to grow as well.

Fire in RP:
One of the 5 great chakra natures. Just like in real life it doesn't have a form, but extremely hot, etc... However there are several "non canon fire types". Using shape manipulations the user can add a form to it and create different jutsus. Fire style jutsus are mostly for attack, but an experienced user could use it for defense and support too.

Now, sit over there and focus on your chakra. Think of the properties of fire as you do so. Remember to drop focus from anything around you and concentrate solely on your chakra. I also transfer it to my chakra and wait while it gets it. Once done I change the campfire into a smaller forest fire and do the same as before. This time my chakra not only gets the warmth, but slightly the shape too. It becomes like a strangely flowing of chakra. Then I continue with the last one, I imagine a huge, wild and uncontrollable forest fire and transfer it's heat and other properties into my chakra. Instead of a strange flow, it becomes wild and extremely hot. Then I channel this new chakra into my hands and from them into the paper. The paper becomes hot, turn into black and become smaller. Some parts also starts on fire.*

When it's done, I throw the shuriken toward a nearby tree and use the last remnants of the chakra to set it on fire.*

Good. Once you release it, it's done. You don't have to bother keeping it in the ball form because then you'll be restricted for preparing a next attack.

If you can't find it using the English name then try the Japanese. I'm asking for this because I think that it will be easier for you to understand how the jutsu work and look like, so that you don't get a wrong perception of it.

The fireball ignites externally.

Make a ring using your thumb and index fingers and blow the chakra infused air through it. As it passes the ring it ignites and travels towards your opponent.

Tiger handseal. It represents the fire nature. A versatile fire attack. You can alter it's shape, depending on your needs. And to top that, it's even mid range.

*I gather a decent amount of fire chakra in my lungs and take a deep breath. Then I blow it out and turn the chakra into fire right away. At the same time I use some chakra to collect the fire and form a giant wall of fire in front of me. I make the wall about 2 meters wide and 3 meters tall.*

*I perform the Tiger hand seal while gathering a decent amount of fire chakra in my lungs. Then I take a deep breath and blow out the chakra. Once it leaves my mouth, I turn it into fire and use shape manipulation to direct the chakra to mid range in a thin line with a zig-zag pattern. When it gets close to my target, with further shape manipulation I create a ring of fire around it.*
