Why was Konana shocked that Tobi said he encouraged Yahiko to form akatsuki when he approached all three of them to start akatsuki?

Once again not a plot hole.He did not make them form akatskui.Akatskui was already formed but the version had different ideals all obito is doing here is to push there group in a new direction.The akatskui they know today which was completely different then the one yahiko describes in that very same chapter.I seriously cannot comprehend the number of people on this base who do not know the definition of plot hole lmao

I'm just gonna repost my thoughts from another post here

I think Nagato will sneak away, and talk to Tobito.
Then he will say he's not gonna join him, but he will still listen. Tobito will say it's okay, and give him "some advices" - like getting more members and starting an official group. So they can work on Yahikos plan (getting to know peoples pain).

Then Tobito's gonna stage the whole Hanzo thing, and when Yahiko is killed Nagato will turn to Tobito and ask for his help.


I also think there's two reasons Nagato is intriqued - Firstly, he wan't to help Yahiko, and sees this as an opotunity. But other than that this is the first time he's met someone who actually knows alot about the Rinnegan, and someone who can perhaps teach him about it.

He learned the techniques somehow, and somehow he was able to summon the Gedo Mazo. To do that I believe he would be needed to be told how to. Since it was originally left in Tobitos position.

Which would also prove me right that akatskui was already formed its just that obito was trying to push them in a new direction.Yahiko already had his plan set out he describes it in that very chapter but after yahiko dies nagato (just like you said) will turn to obito and send the akatskui in a new direction.

It was inevitable that the plot would get convoluted and there would be potholes after how long the manga has gone on for, Im just waiting for it to end too.

The OP is dead on Akatsuki took a different path post Yahiko's death. All three already have the trademark. Akatsuki cloaks. I've already opined on why there are so many inconsistencies. Only one conclusion other than gross negligence. The timeline being presented each chapter is similar but not the same. Inconsistencies occur from timeline to timeline (like Kabuto's Izanami) but are similar enough that it seems like a single timeline. Narutoverse is looping.

lol... for real... he said that he spurred Yahiko to form akatsuki and we see them in their akatsuki uniforms listening to Obito. when Tobi said to Konan that he was the one behind the creation of akatsuki this means there was no akatsuki before Tobi. yet, there you are.
how immensely stupid would Konan have to be to not connect the dots and realise that the man who approached them THEN would have sth to do with what akatsuki is doing given the fact that he ended up as their boss. she was surprised about what...?

Yeah, I find it hard to believe that Konan couldn't connect the dots. Kishi is ruining the credibility of my fav character kakashi, Nagato and Konan.

Unlike the other thread this one might be onto sth. Good find, it does seem pretty strange that they would ever have accepted obito after what yahiko said this chapter. And konans surprise is also illogical
